What is an energy audit?
Between DPE and energy audit, you can get lost quickly.
The energy audit was introduced as part of the climate and resilience law of 24 August 2021.
It is a detailed inventory of the energy performance of housing. It serves to raise the owner's awareness of ecological transition issues and proposes work to improve energy performance.
What does the energy audit contain?
The audit may provide additional documentation to the DPE but does not replace it.
But, he goes into more detail :
-a general inventory
-an estimate of the building's performance
-proposals for improvement work
-estimating energy savings
-the costs of the proposed work
-the different aids available
Are you concerned by the energy audit?
This audit concerns homeowners and buildings with several dwellings that are for sale.
The obligation of the energy audit since April 2023 concerns dwellings that are classified F or G.
This obligation will extend to :
-E-listed dwellings from 1 January 2025
-Classified housing from 1 January 2034
The audit is valid for five years.
